In August 2014 my wife and I drove to a wedding 8 hours away.  On our way home we had a wonderful discussion about what we wanted in life.  We both had decided we wanted something different from our lives.

In our discussion we both came to the conclusion that summers in Wisconsin is something we both enjoy a lot.  We both enjoy the fresh food and perfect weather.  We also both like spending time at the lake.  I enjoy fishing, and my wife really enjoys being behind the boat.

But….  winter is awful!!  5-6 months of the year are cold and snow covered in Wisconsin.  We both decided that chasing summer for those 5-6 months would be a great idea.  But how could we make this possible?  How could we make an income without being tied to one location?  That’s when I found Drop Ship Lifestyle.

The first time I heard of drop shipping was on a podcast that explained it as selling something on eBay.  I had looked into this eBay arbitrage for a little while before I stumbled upon a podcast interviewing the founder of Drop Ship Lifestyle, Anton Kraly.

Hearing Anton talk about having your own store, not selling on eBay, really peaked my interest.  I immediately started scouring the web for more podcasts with Anton, and reviews of his course.  I even emailed Anton directly to ask some questions.  (He’s a super nice guy)  It didn’t take long for me to make the decision to buy the program. And that single moment would change my life forever.  It’s like their was a veil in front of my eyes blinding me from seeing that this kind of lifestyle was possible.

I jumped right into the course and started watching videos.  Anton has a screen share video for every part of the course. From mindset, to niche selection, to getting traffic and automation, everything is covered in great detail in this course.  There is one whole section, with many videos, where they build a store right in front of you step by step.  You can build yours right along with the videos making it very easy for you to learn how to use Shopify. really had everything I needed to build a profitable drop shipping business from the ground up with little to no money at all.

To explain drop shipping in a short paragraph, drop shipping is when you sell physical goods, but don’t stock and ship the products yourself like a big box store would.  Instead, the customer places an order from your web store, and you purchase the item from the manufacturer for a reduced price.  The manufacturer then ships the product, with your label on it, directly to the customer.  ie: Customer pays $1,000, you pay the manufacturer $650 + $50 shipping, and keep $300 for yourself!  This business model is extremely efficient, and allows you to begin with very little overhead.

It took a couple months of hard work to get the first sale, but boy was that an amazing feeling!  I received the sale at about 10PM on a Sunday night.  I had to work at 4AM the next morning.  I don’t think I got more than an hour or two of sleep that night.  I was so excited that this system worked.

Fast forward to now, and I’m making consistent sales.  I’m averaging $10,000 in sales for the first few months of my store, and have a goal to double that by years end.  I also have a new store in the works, which should double my total sales almost immediately.  I’m going to update this page every few months for my own interest, and to keep anyone interested in following my foot steps up to date with my progress.
